‘A lot of hotels struggle to fill Sunday nights’
Michael Caines,
chef/owner at Lympstone Manor
We’re seeing many guests looking to extend
their weekend into Sunday nights, rather than starting it early and
arriving on Thursday or Friday. Travelling home on a Sunday can be so
disruptive, and it’s amazing the difference an additional day makes to a trip. Additionally, a
lot of hotels struggle to fill Sunday nights, so the rates are often lower. I
really enjoy a long Sunday lunch and then
staying the night and having some light bites in
the hotel bar or room service. It’s my preferred way of travelling across a
weekend, and I think we will continue to see more of this as guests seek out good-value, luxury
experiences.
