SIR – You report (April 30) that “modern brides are choosing cacti, succulents and even vegetables over traditional flowers”.

This is not new. Our daughter-inlaw’s maiden name is Grapes, and her bridal bouquet and floral decorations reflected this with large bunches of juicy black grapes. Gail Young Dundee
