When I was a kid, there was nothing much to do apart from read. Sure, you could talk on the phone with your friends, but there’s only so much yammering you can do. You could watch TV, but in our house this was strictly capped at one hour a day. So to pass the time once homework was done, I very often grabbed a book, and read for hours and hours.
