Charitable impulses
Today is The Telegraph’s annual Christmas Charity Appeal phone-in, and the telephones are being answered by our journalists. This year, our causes are linked by the theme of mental health. Callers can give to Changing Faces, which provides support, including skin camouflaging services, to those who look different; to YoungMinds, which helps parents and carers of young people affected by mental health issues; and to the Fire Firefighters Charity, which assists those dealing with the consequences of major incidents, reaches out to families and children, and offers 24-hour nursing care. If you wish to donate today, the lines are open from 10am to 6pm on 0800 117 118. Payments can also be made online via telegraph.ctdonate.org – and we thank you in advance for your kind support.
