300 race in sol­i­dar­ity af­ter train­ing run at­tack

Around 300 peo­ple have com­pleted a “sol­i­dar­ity run” in sup­port of a group of run­ners who were at­tacked while out train­ing. Sev­eral run­ners from St Theresa’s Ath­let­ics Club, in­clud­ing a 71-year-old man, were as­saulted in Tem­ple Newsam in Leeds last month.

But yes­ter­day more than 300 run­ners gath­ered in the Leeds sub­urb for a run, dur­ing which po­lice gave out safety ad­vice.
