‘I’m partly to blame’ says hit-and-run victim
A pedestrian has admitted she was “partly to blame” for being knocked unconscious during a hit-and-run in Wellingborough, Northants, on New Year’s Eve, because she was using her mobile phone at the time.
Olivia Keane, 20, has warned other pedestrians staring at mobile phones “is not worth it in the slightest” after she suffered severe rib and pelvic bruises and cuts to her face.
A police spokesman said: “It is believed the woman was knocked unconscious after being in a collision with a vehicle and she may have been at the roadside for several minutes before regaining consciousness.”
