This museum has made a study of small print
SIR – For those inspired by the recent interest in Charlotte Brontë’s miniature manuscript (The Week in Arts, November 24), I would recommend a visit to what I believe is the only miniature book museum in the world, in the old part of Baku city in Azerbaijan.
This holds a fascinating collection of tiny books in an array of languages. Many of the volumes are illuminated. The museum is not very large but it doesn’t need to be to hold so many tiny items, including one so small that it is only legible through a magnifying glass. It makes the Lord’s Prayer incised onto my ring look positively huge. Jeremy Burton
