Gunmen wound Afghan activist

Afghan women’s rights campaigner Fawzia Koofi, a member of the negotiating team that will hold peace talks with the Taliban, has been wounded in a gun attack near Kabul.

Gunmen opened fire on Ms Koofi and her sister on Friday, Tariq Arian, interior ministry spokesman, told AFP. Ms Koofi was in a stable condition, he said.

The Taliban has denied any involvement.
