Officer concussed after boy kicked him in head

A police officer has been left severely concussed after being kicked in the head by a schoolboy.

Officers attended a petrol station in Wallingfor­d, Oxon, where staff were being assaulted by boys. The boys threatened to return with knives and firearms before escaping on Thursday.

The suspects were later involved in a similar incident where an officer was kicked in the head before being taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, but has since been discharged.

Two 15-year-olds and a 13-year-old were arrested on suspicion of affray. A 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray, resisting a constable in the line of duty and actual bodily harm.
