Four questioned over canal footpath murder
Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man found seriously injured on a Shropshire footpath later died.
West Mercia Police said four teenage boys had been arrested on suspicion of murder and a man and a woman in their 40s were held on suspicion of assisting offenders.
Officers were called at 7.20pm on Friday to a footpath near Stonebridge Close, Telford, following reports that a man in his 20s was seriously injured.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance but died later that evening. His death is being treated as suspicious.
Police said one boy aged 14 and three aged 15 had been arrested on suspicion of murder. They all remain in custody.
