Students fear they will not receive fair grades
Nearly two in five disadvantaged students are not confident they will receive fair grades this year, a report suggests.
Some 38 per cent are not expecting their results to reflect their ability, according to a survey of more than 1,300 high-achieving disadvantaged sixth formers in the UK .
More than a third (36 per cent) are not confident they will receive the grades they need for their chosen career or to secure a university place this autumn, the poll by the Social Mobility Foundation charity found.
The findings come after teachers across England finalised decisions on their pupils’ GCSE and A-level grades.
