Students excluded over attack linked to Euros

-

Five students have been excluded from a school following an alleged racist attack that occurred in the aftermath of the Euro 2020 final.

The secondary school students have been given a fixed-term exclusion from Neale-Wade Academy, Cambs, after the incident on the morning of July 12. The attack is said to have occurred on the school grounds and was linked to England’s defeat by Italy in last Sunday’s Euro 2020 final. The incident was reported to Cambridgeshire County Council, which declined to comment. Graham Horn, principal at the school, said: “We have a zerotolerance approach to racist abuse or prejudice-based bullying.”
