Boy, 12, dies in accident at indoor ski centre

A 12-year-old boy has died after being seriously injured at one of Britain’s biggest indoor ski centres.

The child was involved in an accident at the SnowDome in Tamworth, Staffordshire, on Friday evening. He died a short time later.

Staffordshire Police said the boy’s family were being supported by officers and that a man was also treated for injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews found a boy who had suffered very serious injuries. Sadly, it was not possible to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”

Police said the Health and Safety Executive had been informed of the incident.
