Vigil for Mormon ‘killed by boyfriend’
A vigil was held last night in Chelmsford to remember a Canadian woman who flew to the UK to visit a boyfriend, who has now been charged with her murder.
Ashley Wadsworth, 19, a Mormon, was found dead in bed at a house in the Essex city, on Tuesday.
The teenager, from Vernon, British Columbia, was on a six-month tourist visa and decided to travel to England after meeting the defendant, Jack Sepple, 23, on a dating app.
She had been posting pictures of her sightseeing trips around the UK on social media in recent months, describing it as an “amazing trip”.
