Pc accused of misconduct will face jury next year
A former policeman who is charged with having inappropriate relationships with a number of women who he was investigating may not stand trial before a jury until spring next year.
Ex-Pc Oliver Perry-Smith is charged with four counts of misconduct in a public office and two counts of misusing a police computer, alleged to have taken place between September 2014 and November 2019.
Perry-Smith, who had served with Thames Valley Police, was first identified in an inquiry carried out by the police’s independent watchdog. He has been bailed at Reading Crown court to reappear on March 30.
