Medical aid Europe rallies round Kyiv

-

The European Union delivered emergency medical equipment to Ukraine following a request from Kyiv, the European Commission said.

The request was made on Tuesday, amid rising fears of a Russian invasion. So far emergency aid has come from France, Romania, Slovenia, Ireland and Austria, Brussels said.

More help is expected in the coming days.

The World Bank Group said yesterday it was readying $350 million (£257m) while Poland said it was ready to provide more military aid.
