Land of solar panels
SIR – Charles Moore (Comment, February 12) hits the nail on the head, arguing that we should grow as much of our own food as possible.
I wonder what he – and, for that matter, Sir James Dyson – think of the proposal to cover good agricultural land in Lincolnshire with solar panels.
According to the BBC’s Farming Today programme, this solar farm will be the size of Heathrow Airport.
