Still scared of Covid
SIR – It was interesting to read Janet Daley’s article (Comment, February 13) on fear culture. I know many individuals who have put their lives on hold for two years now, and at the slightest sign of a loosening of restrictions immediately take to social media, decrying the terrible risk to their lives. This is not only fuelled by likeminded individuals who add their support, but also the many shops that are still asking people, via signs and tannoy announcements, to continue wearing a mask to keep other shoppers and their staff safe.
This needs to stop now and we should be encouraged to return to normal life, albeit with the unavoidable risk of Covid infection. Adrian Waller

SIR – Your report (“Families denied holidays amid million app blunders”, February 13) reminded me to recontact the NHS, yet again, to try to get my vaccine records corrected.
A few months ago I realised my records were incorrect shortly before I was due to go on holiday. After going around in circles, being passed from one centre to another, I gave up and went ahead with travelling abroad.
The destination country never asked for my proof of vaccination – nor did England when I returned.
