Masks in shops
SIR – I’ve recently returned from a Caribbean cruise where everyone, whether on board or ashore, had to wear face masks (Letters, March 6).
Last weekend I visited my local TK Maxx, where 98 per cent of the customers were not wearing masks (my wife and I were the only ones who were). Yet 100 yards away, at Sainsbury’s, 98 per cent of people were masked.
The difference must be down to the example being set by the retailers. Keith Appleyard
