Body found in search for missing mother-of-two

Police searching for missing motherof-two Katie Kenyon have found the body of a woman.

The 33-year-old from Padiham, Burnley, was last seen at about 9.30am on Friday April 22 in a transit van.

Lancashire Police said a body had been found by officers searching the Forest of Bowland after receiving new information. Det Supt Gary Brooks, said: “After days of searching, I can now sadly confirm that we have found a body and at this time we believe it to be that of Katie Kenyon.”

Andrew Burfield, 50, appeared at Preston Crown Court on Friday charged with her murder.
