Pc who went on Nigeria’s Big Brother gets warning

A Metropolitan Police officer has received a “final written warning” for appearing on Nigeria’s Big Brother without permission.

Khafilat Kareem appeared on the reality television show in 2019 despite being denied permission, handing over her work laptop to producers before she entered the house.

She was evicted after 77 days and has now been given a written warning after an investigation found gross misconduct was proven.

Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Day said: “Pc Kareem’s behaviour clearly fell far short and she has been given a final warning.”
