EU’s bad faith
SIR – At the time of Britain leaving the EU, I downloaded and read the Withdrawal Agreement and the Northern Ireland Protocol.
Both parties agreed to act in good faith, and to respect each other’s internal markets. However, the huge number of checks on goods crossing the Irish Sea, compared with the number of checks at other EU borders, shows a distinct lack of good faith on the part of the EU. Likewise, the problems the UK has encountered sending goods to Northern Ireland demonstrate a complete lack of respect for our internal market.
It is time to think again about this trade deal.
