Pixar’s animation tip-toes up to subject matter where most films rightfully fear to tread – it’s a zingy family adventure about what it means to be dead. When its young hero crosses over to the Great Beyond during the Día de Muertos festival, he must find his way back by daybreak or risk being trapped there. Its characters may be skeletons, but this fast-paced, colourful adventure brims with life.
