Country-of-build analysis, 2002-2011

• Italian shipyards began a period of dominance in superyacht construction at the turn of the century, contributing 39 per cent of all deliveries between 2002 and 2011.

• With an increase of 576 deliveries compared to the previous decade, Italian yards added more than 27,000m to the fleet – over 19,000m more than any other country.
