Figure 3: What are the primary benefits or advantages of a hybrid propulsion system?

The above responses have been collated from a survey conducted by The Superyacht Agency over the course of 2021. The study aimed to ascertain the lack of uptake of hybrid and emissions-free systems across the superyacht sector. As noted in the survey, although not widespread, some of the hybrid technologies have been available for generations, yet despite environmental imperatives the uptake has been comparatively slow, and the question of why remains.
