»»RED Roses internatonal Emma Sing will be visiting Crediton Rugby Football Club as part of a new programme aimed at connecting the England women’s national team with community clubs.

During Sing’s visit ‘back home’ on Wednesday, May 22, she will be supporting Crediton’s weekly tag rugby event before hosting a question and answer session in the clubhouse.

Sing started her rugby journey at South Molton, where she played from the age of six, up to the under-13s.

She then joined Crediton, where girls’ rugby was really taking off, and played until the under-18s.

Full-back Sing now plays her rugby for Gloucester-hartpury, whom he joined in 2018-19, the same season she debuted for England at under-18s level.

Her first senior cap arrived against Scotland in the 2022 Six Nations.

She featured in the 2023 Tiktok Women’s Six Nations Championship and was called up to the squad for the inaugural WXV tournament in New Zealand.

Coach John Mitchell’s named her in his squad for the 2024 Guinness Women’s Six Nations.

Liz Gimmler, girls’ manager at Crediton, said everyone at the club is looking forward to catching-up with Sing and hearing about her amazing journey.

“We’re incredibly proud of what Emma has achieved,” said Gimmler.

“Emma is such an inspiration, and we cannot wait for her to visit and meet with members of our club and other local organisations.

“It has been great to see the growth of the women and girls’ game in recent years.

“We would be delighted to welcome more players to our club.”
