Protests after dancers arrested
Several Iranian women have been arrested for dancing in videos they posted on Instagram, prompting online protests. The country’s government has strict rules on what women can wear and where they can dance, and say the women have broken these laws. Only one of the women detained, teenager Maedeh Hojabri, has been publicly identified so far. Other women have now posted similar dance videos online to show their support for those who were arrested.
