Schoolgirl beats mountain challenge

-

Aten-year-old girl has become one of the youngest people ever to climb 15 Welsh mountains in less than a day. Along with her dad, Lola House managed to conquer the Welsh 3000s Challenge in less than 22 hours, despite torrential rain and lightning storms. She even camped at the peak of Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales. House took more than 104,000 steps during the trek and raised more than £1,500 for the Forest Holme Hospice in Poole in Dorset, which looked after her grandparents last year. She now hopes to take on the Three Peaks Challenge, which means climbing the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland in less than 24 hours.
