Tokio Myers takes Britain’s Got Talent title
London-born pianist Tokio Myers is this year’s Britain’s Got Talent winner, following a nail-biting public vote on Saturday. He beat eight-year-old magician Issy Simpson, who came second, and comedian Daliso Chaponda, who finished third. Myers hopes to use his £250,000 prize to start a new music school for kids. Last month on the show, Myers was reunited with the music teacher who inspired him. Myers is a popular winner and after his brilliant performance, viewers took to social media to talk about how emotional and inspirational his music is. The pianist himself tweeted, “I am very excited for what is in store next!! Stay tuned!”. The talent show final was moved from Sunday to Saturday so that it didn’t clash with the One Love Manchester charity concert.
