A celebration of animals

Amemorial service at Ely Cathedral, in Cambridgeshire, has honoured a cat called Garfield, which became famous online for hanging around the local Sainsbury’s supermarket. More than 7,000 people from around the world followed the cat’s adventures on Facebook before it died in July. Garfield was remembered as part of an annual service at the cathedral, where animals are celebrated. Birds, cats, dogs, ferrets and guinea pigs all attended.
