Big Tex the alligator makes big escape
The largest alligator ever caught in the US has been recaptured after it escaped during a flood. More than
110 centimetres of rain fell in the city of Beaumont, Texas, causing chaos at Gator Country Adventure Park. It is thought Big Tex made his escape by swimming over submerged fences. On 27 September, the reptile, which is more than
4.2 metres long, was found in a pond near the park.
