Sky turns red because of smoke

The sky turned a deep red over Jambi province on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, between 21 and 22 September. The colour was caused by smoke from nearly 2,000 wildfires that are burning across the country. The fires happen every year and are mainly caused by farmers burning trees and undergrowth to clear the land for planting crops.
