Fart competition in India causes judges to faint
India’s first-ever farting competition had to finish early after several of the judges fainted. The event was held in the city of Surat on 22 September but ended without a winner when the air-conditioning in the hall failed. The fiercely fought contest had reached the semi-finals, but the build-up of stinky gas, combined with one particularly loud and smelly fart, proved too much for the judges and several audience members, who fainted and needed medical attention.
