Hannah Ryggen: Woven Histories at Modern Art Oxford (01865-722733). A show charting the work of the great Scandinavian artist Hannah Ryggen. From the 1920s, she made “spellbinding tapestries” inspired by world events, including the rise of Hitler (Guardian). Ends 18 February 2018.

Vivaldi Gloria is a highlight of next year’s programme for Harry Christophers’ worldrenowned choir and orchestra, The Sixteen. It will be performed alongside works by Bach and Handel in a tour that takes in several British cathedrals. 1 February 2018, Lincoln Cathedral, then Derby and on (thesixteen.com).
