Hear Editor Phil at Society’s AGM

THE PUBLISHER of The Wokingham Paper will be the special guest speaker at The Wokingham Society’s AGM next Wednesday.

Taking place in Wokingham Town Hall, Phil Creighton will share insights into the future of news in Wokingham, including the challenges involved and what local media could be like in years to come.

The meeting will also include a report from Peter Must, the Wokingham Society’s chair. In it, he will look back over the previous year’s activities, including thanks to volunteers who help with its work and a chance to remember volunteers who have passed away.

The Society aims to protect Wokingham’s heritage while also looking to the future and it has also been involved in local residents associations and workshops and presentations relating to town centre regeneration and the North and South Wokingham Strategic Development Locations (SDLs).

The meeting is open to all and starts at 7.45pm on Wednesday, November 15. Entry is free.
