Lilley’s brace gives Sumas the spoils

ALICE LILLEY (pictured) bagged a brace as Wokingham and Emmbrook Ladies thrashed Benson Lionesses 5-0 in Southern Women’s Division 1 North.

Sumas made the trip to Oxfordshir­e with just one league win this season, but they turned on the style with Olivia Shaw, Joanne Atkins and Caroline Paterson joining Lilley on the score-sheet in a resounding win.

WARGRAVE LADIES’ clash with Oxford City Nomads Ladies was postponed, but WOODLEY UNITED LADIES were in action, losing 3-0 at home to unbeaten leaders Barton Rovers Ladies. EVERSLEY AND CALIFORNIA LADIES were held to a 3-3 draw at winless Tilehurst Panthers in Thames Valley Counties Division 1, while in 2 East, BINFIELD LADIES are sixth after goals from Amy Martin and Constance Wilson earned them a 2-1 win at Harefield.
