Lilley’s brace gives Sumas the spoils
ALICE LILLEY (pictured) bagged a brace as Wokingham and Emmbrook Ladies thrashed Benson Lionesses 5-0 in Southern Women’s Division 1 North.
Sumas made the trip to Oxfordshire with just one league win this season, but they turned on the style with Olivia Shaw, Joanne Atkins and Caroline Paterson joining Lilley on the score-sheet in a resounding win.
WARGRAVE LADIES’ clash with Oxford City Nomads Ladies was postponed, but WOODLEY UNITED LADIES were in action, losing 3-0 at home to unbeaten leaders Barton Rovers Ladies. EVERSLEY AND CALIFORNIA LADIES were held to a 3-3 draw at winless Tilehurst Panthers in Thames Valley Counties Division 1, while in 2 East, BINFIELD LADIES are sixth after goals from Amy Martin and Constance Wilson earned them a 2-1 win at Harefield.
