Pre-School needs help to expand

-

WOODLEY pre-school said that it is delighted to announce that it will be opening a new, purposebuilt, dedicated pre-school in the grounds of Woodford Park.

The new school site is due to open in spring next year and will provide parents with 30 hours of childcare per week. The school provides education for children aged two to five, including those with special needs.

Tiffany Wallington, Pre-School chair, said: “We feel very lucky to have received funding from the Department for Education and we are excited that our popular local pre-school can expand into it’s very own premises. The new site will allow us to increase our provision and take on more children.”

The grant from the DofE covers 75% of the cost of the new school, requiring the pre-school to raise 25% themselves.

Miss Wallington said “The pre-school has been fundraising for this new project all year, but we still have a way to go. We are therefore asking if any local companies or fundraising groups could help us. Donations would be very much appreciated but we are also looking for equipment, astro turf, fencing etc to help us provide a fantastic environment for the children.”
