- By Dom Hurrell and Ian Biles from Beyond The Download DOM AND IAN

OKAY hands up, who saw this coming? A vinyl revival which has seen an almost unthinkable resurgence in the much loved black wax format with the reintroduction of a vinyl chart, and the news of Sony building their very own pressing plant.

Well now there is no stopping the revival and even your local paper has a brand spanking new music column brought to you by your very own local vinyl record shop Beyond the Download.

So welcome to the BTD column! It has been a whole year, almost to the day, since we opened our doors to the people of Wokingham and we haven’t looked back since.

Wokingham and the local area has a vibrant local music scene which is currently bubbling away and waiting to burst, it is full of amazing venues and talented local artists which we want to help thrive.

Each week our column will aim to promote the local music scene by spotlighting artists and gigs and keeping you up to date with what not to miss, we will also be writing about our favourite new Vinyl releases we have coming into our store and any other exciting news revolving around the wonderful world of Vinyl.
