Diwali lessons at Twyford pre-school

CHILDREN at a pre-school in Twyford have spent a week celebrating and learning all about the religious festival of Diwali.

Children, staff and parents at Cedar Park Day Nursery, in Bridge Farm Road, spent a week making Rangoli patterns using coloured rice, and produced small diva lamps out of clay.

Diwali is one of the world’s largest religious celebrations which is marked in India and across the world. Also known as The Festival of Lights, the event symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
