Dog friendly zone at show
DOG LOVERS are being invited to parade their pooch at this year’s County Show.
The annual event, which will be held on September 15 and 16, will be hosting a new dog zone in its country area.
There will be a number of fun have-a-go-shows as well as stalls and other doggy-related activities.
The zone is one of a host of new attractions that organisers are planning for the show, which takes place at the Newbury Showground in Hermitage near Thatcham.
And the show will help raise funds for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
Peter Carlisle, president of the Royal County of Berkshire Show, said: “I am very pleased that my chosen charity for
2018 is the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, which provides crucial support in rural areas for many activities including farming and equestrianism alongside many types of biking pursuits.”
The show is organised by
The Newbury & District Agricultural Society, and the team are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways from helping to squish produce in the harvest tent to staffing the car parks.
Volunteers receive free tickets and meals for their help.
