Woodley has six appeal as they thrash Wargrave and win title

WOODLEY UNITED LADIES sealed the Division One North title with a thumping 6-0 win over neighbours Wargrave.

Just three points separated the two sides at kick-off of the title decider, but it was Marc Surtees’ side who took the honours in style.

Star striker Rosie Page-Smith broke the deadlock on eight minutes and that is how it stayed until just before the hour mark, when Page-Smith netted twice more to seal her hat-trick.

The floodgates soon opened afterwards with Beks Lowes finding the net before Jodie Penny struck against her former club.

And May Hamblin completed the rout to ensure Woodley lifted the trophy and earned promotion to the Premier Division.

Wargrave must win against Wycombe Wanderers on Sunday to clinch second spot in the league.
