A night of Gypsy jazz
ON SUNDAY there’s an opportunity to hear some spectacular Gypsy jazz thanks to Norden Farm Centre For The Arts.
Kings of Gypsy Swing takes place from 7.30pm and sees violin superstar Tcha Limberger joins forces with guitar wizard Mozes Rosenberg.
Spectacular multi-instrumentalist Limberger is known for enchanting performances with his Budapest Gypsy Orchestra and Kalotaszeg Trio.
Born into a renowned Belgian family of Manouche musicians, he grew up surrounded by the Gypsy swing style of Django Reinhardt. Over the years he has collaborated with many of its leading performers, including the celebrated Fapy Lafertin.
His eclectic musical tastes, interests and passions were formed in early childhood. Limberger’s first solo concerts were singing Flamenco whilst accompanying himself on guitar aged just eight.
The musician has been recognised as both an exceptional and enthusiastic teacher. He frequently holds masterclasses and leads interactive workshops encompassing both jazz and Central European folk music.
Tickets cost £15 or £13 for concessions.
