HAODS prepare to present Gypsy

GYPSY is considered to be one of the greatest of all American musicals and it’s the focus for this season’s production from HAODS (Henley Amateur Operatic Dramatic Society).

It tells the story of the dreams and efforts of one hungry, powerhouse of a woman to get her two daughters into show business.

Gypsy is loosely based on the 1957 memoir of famous striptease artist Gypsy Rose Lee.

Featured songs that have become standards of musical theatre, including Some People, Let Me Entertain You, Rose’s Turn, and the show-stopping Everything’s Coming Up Roses.

The show is performed from Wednesday, April 25 to Saturday, April 28. Tickets cost £16, £15 concessions and £10 children.
