RECORD Store Day 2018 will be a big day here at Beyond the Download, taking place on Saturday. We’re expecting a great turnout, so make sure to get here early.

This will be the second Record Store Day (RSD18) to take place at Beyond the Download. The café opposite our shop will be open early doors and we will be ticketing our queue so you are free to escape the standing around and grab a coffee and some breakfast!

Alongside the plethora of exclusive releases available from us on the day we will be showcasing a talented range of local solo artists that will be doing acoustic performances outside the shop.

With so many great titles being released on the day we have very carefully each picked just one of our top titles being released.

Tyler’s Most Anticipated Record: Car Seat Headrest – Twin Fantasy (Mirror to Mirror)

One of my all-time favourite albums is Twin Fantasy by the Seattle based alt-rock band, Car Seat Headrest.

Originally released in 2011 and with all instruments written and recorded by frontman Will Toledo in his bedroom, the fan favourite was re-recorded with an expanded and fuller sound this year.

Fans of the original version will be ecstatic to hear that the 2011 version is finally being released on vinyl for the first time, with all its lo-fi charms and quirks, exclusively for

Record Store Day!

Ian’s Most Anticipated Record: Pink Floyd – The Piper at the Gates of Dawn

Sticking firmly to my roots it has to be this remastered, previously unreleased mono mix of the album that started it all.

Dom’s Most Anticipated Record: Sigrid – Don’t Kill My Vibe EP

artists to listen to and seeing whose going to be the next big thing, and for me one of the most exciting artists currently breaking through and picking up critical acclaim from everywhere is Norwegian star Sigrid. It’s been a big year for 21-year-old pop sensation Sigrid. In January, she was announced as the winner of the BBC Music Sound of 2018, setting up 2018 to be even bigger than last year. Her debut EP Don’t Kill My Vibe will be released physically for the first time on heavyweight red vinyl with download card especially for Record Store Day and with her sure to be future pop royalty this is one to grab.
