Cancer charity to benefit from church’s concert
A CANCER charity will benefit from the first of this year’s autumn concert series at All Saints Church.
Talented Wokingham-based Jasper Severn, will play solo cello with works from Bach and Cassado.
The concert, on Friday, September 14 at 7.30pm is free but a retiring collection will be donated to Breast Cancer Care.
That’s followed by What the Floyd? on October 12, which features all the hits and some rarities from the 70s supergroup, including a complete performance of the classic album Dark Side of the Moon.
A special Remembrance Day Concert on Saturday, November 10 at 3pm by the Trinity Concert Band, will mark the centenary of the end of the First World War. This event is also free.
