Business breakfast with a charity heart

The Wokingham Paper - - BUSINESS -

MEMBERS of a local business community that aims to help others will be doing just that with a special charity event next week.

The BNI Wokingham chapter will be meeting at Sandmartins Golf Course in Wokingham from 6.30am on Friday,

September 14, as it does every Friday, but for this meeting it will be raising funds for the Stroke Association.

The event opens with networking opportunities, then includes a breakfast while leaders from the BNI Wokingham chapter introduce themselves and explain how the group works.

There will then be a presentation by the Stroke Association before an opportunity to introduce yourselves to other members.

Speed networking, a raffle and more open networking will complete the morning’s activities.

The event finishes at 10.30am.

BNI differs from other business networking groups in that it only accepts memberships from one business in each of its categories.

Last year, its 27 members passed £456,587 worth of business among themselves. New members are welcomed.

Entry to the breakfast is £15 and is open to non-members of BNI.

Delegates attending are encouraged to bring lots of business cards and information leaflets for the referral process, and a smile.
