The Wokingham Paper - - PROPERTY -

WOKINGHAM’S transport links have been praised by families moving into one of its new housing developments.

Pranoy Pradhan (38) and Chandani Shrestha (33), a Telecom Consultant and a Customer Experience Officer in banking, have moved to the Montague Park development with their son, Abhiraj (3).

They say that they have realised there is better value for money on offer with a larger property in the borough, away from the city.

Pranoy said: “There are a number of good schools here and it’s close to the M4 which makes it very easy to commute to and from work.”

They also welcomed being close to Wokingham’s railway station, offering connections to London Paddington, plus fast connections to Reading and Bracknell.

And Montague Park is just off London Road, meaning the Lion bus service runs on the development’s doorstep.

Rob Allen, Sales Director at

David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “Montague Park really is a centre for commuting, ensuring property seekers in need of travelling to work can do so effortlessly whilst returning to a desirable new home at the end of the day.

“For those who prefer to drive to work, they couldn’t be better placed for convenient access to London, whilst the rail services available offer fantastic links to the surrounding towns and cities.

“Due to the high level of interest in this particular development, we encourage anyone interested in the properties to pay our Sales Advisers a visit to discover how to capitalise on this outstanding location.”

Montague Park currently has a selection of two bedroom homes available with prices starting from £295,000.

The sales centre is open on Monday from 12.30pm to 5.30pm and Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 5.30pm.
