THERE’S not long now until Reading’s pantomime faces its curtain up.

This year, The Hexagon’s seasonal show is Aladdin and once again stars Justin Fletcher (Mr Tumble to those in the know) and Paul Morse.

They’re joined by David J Higgins, who played the Beast in Beauty and the Beast and Reading newcomers Aaron Gibson, Sophie Ayers and LydiaRose Bertie.

The cast have been hard at work in South Street for the past couple of weeks getting to grips with all the lines, jokes, dances and comedy routines, ready for Saturday’s first performance.

The show runs throughout the festive season with performances through to Sunday, January 6.

There are some special performances too: a relaxed show suitable for people who have additional needs will take place at 10.30am on Friday, December 14 and 2pm on Friday, January 4, while hard of hearing people will appreciate signed performances on Friday, December 21 at 7pm, 1pm on Thursday, December 27 and 5pm on Saturday, December 29.
