Charity coffee morning to help town’s allotment

A CHARITY coffee morning this Saturday will help an Earley church raise funds for a community allotment.

Trinity Church in Chalfont Close is to open its doors in aid of the Hillside Allotment, a community project based at Hillside School.

The allotment’s vision is to be a vibrant garden of vegetables, soft fruit and flowers, as well as a place where new friends are made from across the community, gardening skills are shared and learned, fresh air embraced, and local charities are supported.

The event takes place from 11am to 2pm, and includes homemade cakes, jacket potato lunches from noon, the chance to play games such as table tennis and a bring and buy stall.
