FIJIAN international duo

Albert Tuisue and Alivereti Veitokani have signed for London Irish.

The 25-year-old pair were both part of the Fiji squad for the autumn international series, which included wins over France and Uruguay.

Tuisue can play in both the back row and second row while Veitokani arrives to provide Stephen Myler with competition at fly-half.

“Albert’s career has taken an upward turn in the past two years,” said Exiles director of rugby Declan Kidney.

“He has international experience but is still young and we believe that he has the potential to become a good player for us.

“Alivereti is a player with talent and potential.

“He will find the Championship more structured compared to what he is used to in Australia and Fiji, so it might take him time to adjust to rugby in England.

“But we’ve been impressed by what we’ve seen from both players and believe that they have the ability to succeed as part of our squad.”

The pair could both debut when Irish host Richmond next weekend.
